The Root ZX is a fully automatic root-canal-length measuring device. It uses a measuring method that calculates the ratio of 2 different frequencies (400 and 8,000Hz). This makes it accurate under all canal conditions including a canal that is wet with sodium hypochlorite, water, hydrogen peroxide, local anesthetic, blood, or pulp.
The Root ZX has a large LCD display and provides a constant indication of file position with respect to the apex. The unit has 3 different audible alarms that correlate to file position.
